Earth Signs

The second of all the elemental categories would be the earth sign. Again, there are three signs of the horoscope that fall under the element that is the earth – Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Those who have been reading up on the Zodiac understand that as far as personality types go, the earth Zodiac signs tend to be the most stable and reliable of the lot. Earth sign people believe in hard work especially for things that are solid, tangible and secure. It is very difficult to tempt them with something as whimsical as, the mere promise of prosperity. People born under the earth sign need evidence of prosperity that they can touch before they can become comfortable.

Earth, as has been suggested, is an element that people more often than not associate with stability, dependability and hard work – this is of course evidenced by expressions like “feet firmly planted on the ground” and “salt of the earth”. Earth sign people are not likely to fly off the handle, and they are quite moderate when it comes to handling their emotions. They also tend to weigh consequences very carefully (because risking the loss of material things is unacceptable) and thus you must expect people born under the earth sign to be very level-headed.

Earth signs are inclined to greediness, insensitivity and hedonism. Detail-oriented, they make a niche for themselves in quality control; and because they're not afraid to get down and dirty, they are likely to get on a career track earlier.
